In the late 1800s Aotearoa was undergoing rapid population expansion due to immigration, and the need was rapidly growing for a dedicated tertiary institution to train the growing country's next generation of Craftcasters.  A site was found to the west of the new capital city, Te Whanganui-a-Tara Wellington, and work began.

The school's construction was a labour of love primarily undertaken by its two founders, Prisca Pirrip and Tāne Hōhepa.  Prisca's stone affinity and Tāne's wood affinity complimented one another perfectly in the process and the melding of their strengths gave life to an architectural masterpiece; the Spellcraft University of Aotearoa.  With grand lecture halls, elaborate crafting workshops, and intricate carved and sculpted decorations in every corner, the university is a true sight to behold.

Opening its doors in 1883, the university quickly developed a prestigious reputation as one of the world's top institutions for the study of magic, both due to its reputation for experimental and innovative research projects, and the impeccable craftsmanship encouraged in its practical studies.  Graduates were highly sought after for careers, and the university began to attract students from all around the world.

The Spellcraft University of Aotearoa is still a university though, with all that universities have to offer.  Between an active nightlife, clubs and events, and of course plenty of study, student life is much as it is on any other campus.  In amongst the regular gossip and chatter, the long-standing legend of a third founder often captures attention among students, leading to occasional searches for their rumoured secrets.

As of the 21st century, the Spellcraft University of Aotearoa stands proud as one of the world's premier spellcraft tertiary institutions and campus life is as vibrant and exciting as ever, and it's all waiting for you to step in and make your mark!
